Hollow Bones:

Hollow Bones is a collaborative between two artists that emphasize the effect of mass media on daily life. We explore a variety of media, ranging from video to print, in an effort to comment on adolescence as it is informed and contorted by mass media. We focus on this stage in life because it is the point of departure from childhood into adulthood— wherein the human subject is fully actualized. Currently, social behavior is largely prompted by television, internet, film, and printed forms of entertainment; these entertainment media seduce younger viewers with an idea of an accelerated youth. Hollow Bones takes an antithetical position to this condition. We stress the importance of youth for its own sake, and we devalue the notion that adulthood is a supreme state and/or goal.
